My all time favorite month (ie: birthday month) is here!! Woo hoo!! Its party time.

This weekend was a mix between relaxing and fun.  Chris surprised me with a date night on Saturday.  We went to an Italian restaurant called Assagios and then to see Man of Steel.  It was really nice and lovely.  It has been a while since we had had a real date night, so we both really just enjoyed getting back to that.

After dinner, Chris mentioned that he was surprised I didn't take any pictures of our food and what not.  I had thought about doing it, but I decided - let's just not.  I don't need to take a picture of every moment - and at the time I rather just basque in it and enjoy it, then interrupt that mood and "capture" it.

Nevertheless, I had Chicken Alla Pomodori and it was FANTASTIC.  Fettucini with pan fried medallions of chicken tossed in a tomato, white wine sauce with chopped tomato, basil and bacon.  Delish.

Sunday was relaxing.  We cleaned house, picked up his motorcycle from a friend's house and enjoyed some poke (raw fish) and steak for dinner.  (We're doing a ton of taste testing for a new concoction for Uncle Bob's Salts)

This week (even though it is birthday week), I really want to focus on more healthy lunches.  Breakfasts (with the occasional Iced Venti Double Dirty Chai Latte with Soy last week) have been pretty good, I really enjoy my green monster smoothies in the morning.  Currently, I get free lunch at work - and it is doing nothing for my health.  I plan on making fresh lunches (caprese, greek salad) to take to work.  Also lets root for me making it to the gym this week.  If that gets accomplished that'll be a miracle!!

  2. Hi! I agree with you with not always taking pictures. Sometimes I'm really tempted to take a picture of my food or something else I might be doing, but then I think about it and I'm like, "You know what, I should just cherish this and live in the moment." I hope you achieve your goals of eating healthier! It's something that I should try to do.

  3. HAPPY (almost) BIRTHDAY!? ^_^ Eating healthy is always tricky, especially when theres more convenient things around. One thing that helps me is making/planning my lunch the night before. That way if I get lazy in the morning its already taken care of! I hope you have a peachy keen week!! -Remi
