Oh – y’all are getting two doses of me today. I really wasn’t planning on it. However, after reading Erika and Melyssa’s Blogtember posts, I caved. I took my 72 question test – & low and behold I have an
We are gentle, caring, complex, highly intuitive, artistic, creative and are rare, as only one percent of the population has this personality type.
As I read through descriptions of the INFJ personality, I just had to laugh because I could definitely see myself in the descriptions. My favorite is this one, from Personality Page.
"INFJs are orderly and systematic with the outer world and we put energy into identifying the best system to get things done. We constantly define and re-define priorities in our lives as well. At the same time, we’re not as organized in our inner world as other Judging types may be and it can be reflected in something like a consistently messy desk." - from here This could not be truer than true. I am always about finding ways to be efficient and have an order with everything professional, academic and with things in the outer world. However, I, myself – can be a very messy person. My desk at work is usually a mess and I have quite a few messes at home too. It is something I am working on.
"We are genuinely warm people that care for many. Many people treasure us as well because of this quality. Though we are gentle and try to avoid conflict – certain situations can drive the normally peaceful INFJ into a state of agitation or charged anger." - from here This rings true to me as well. I am a very, very loving person. However, I have a line. If that line is crossed – all bets are off. It takes me a while to get mad, usually I try to let things go and not sweat the small stuff.
"We also rely heavily on our own instincts and trust it above all else." - from here This can lead to stubbornness which I am definitely guilt of, and a tendency to ignore other people’s opinions which again, I’m guilty of. We believe we’re right and we usually are. Ugh, I guess we’re not perfect huh? Though we strive to be. INFJ’s are perfectionists who doubts they are living up to their fullest potential and we are always trying to improve and to be better people. We believe in constant growth and usually do not take enough time to enjoy accomplishments.
"We are very creative people, yet professionally are more service oriented."- from here The lighbulb went off for me, right here folks! I am very creative. I love to try new things, and to think up really great creative ideas. I have a load of diys and crafts on my pinterest boards, however, it doesn’t translate well into my professional life. Professionally – I am better at offering services than a craft. Recently I’ve come to grips with that in my Passionate Living series and this solidifies it even further.
