Wishes & Gratitude

Hey Beautiful People -

The weekend is drawing to a close, though it just started - boo hoo!  I hope you all are ready for another week!  Last week I wanted to help people - intentionally.  Though I wasn't as active on twitter as I had suggested I'd be, I was still able to be helpful.

Way's Aukele was helpful:
  • Collaborate with Allie on a special project (TBA).
  • Support some newer (than mine) blogs.
  • Help a co-worker with Microsoft Access (a database program).
  • Not to mention my nine-to-five is a service oriented job for the elderly. (that's cheating though, lol).
My goal this week is to work on a blogging collaboration that is scheduled for November & December.  I'm working with some amazing ladies and I need to push out some drafts for the piece I'm working on.  I have thought about it for a few weeks, but have pushed it to the back burner.  Now that I'm telling you all about it, I need to get on it - and get'r done.  Good luck Chuck!!

Lastly, I just wanted to close out this post with a little bit of GRAD-ITUDE!  By the way, did you know that today is National Gratitude Day?  Just ask Mozilla!  This week, I'm thankful for the blogging community that I'm apart of.  The friendships I've built and are buiding.
This past Thursday I talked about friendships, and then on Friday Crystal talked about it as well.  All of that coupled with my INFJ personality - and it hit me like a ton of bricks that, right now, in this moment - these are my friendships.
To be honest, hanging out, let alone talking with my real life (RL) friends is few and far in between.  What gets me is that I feel like I'm the only one always calling to say, "Whats up?  How are you? What's going on?"  It never seems to be reciprocated.  When a friend calls me, it is usually because they need help with something or have a question to ask.  How sad is that?  Even my boyfriend (lovingly) jokes that I don't have any friends.
With that said, I'm thankful for each and every one of you, because at this point in my life, you are my constant!

What do you want to accomplish this week?  Is there anything you're thankful for this week??

  1. I often feel closer to my blogging friends than my real life friends - we certainly hang out more! So I'm with you - very grateful for this amazing community! x

  2. Absolutely - My twitter friends keep up with me more than my RL friends - so weird, but its okay because there are some awesome people out there (like you) that I would have never of met if it weren't for blogging!!

  3. I know! One day I'll take an amazing round the world trip and visit everyone - would be so fun! x

  4. Those are some awesome things you did last week.

I feel the same. I feel like I'm always the one initiating conversations with RL friends. Which is why I'm also thankful for the online community. :D
Can't wait to see what blogging ventures you've got up your sleeve. Good luck with this week's goals!

  5. I know right.. I just stumbled on it on Mozilla's search page (my home page). I totally feel you about making friends where I'm at. I just don't know who, how or where to begin!! Lol. I've tried with a few bloggers I've met in Hawaii, but nothing substantial. As Aaliyah says, "If at first you don't succeed...." you know the rest!!

  6. Great job on fulfilling your goal last week...and GREAT goal!!

I don't spend as much time with my friends as I'd like to sometimes, particularly because of all the things that I want to get done, but I definitely consider my blogging friends good friends as well. :)

  7. What a great point! Blogging friendships often go unrecognized and they're so awesome to have :)
