Thow the confetti, light the sparklers!  This girl finally made some headway with the 'ol food blog!  The wheels are finally turning and I couldn't be more excited.  This has been a goal for quite a while and I'm so glad its making true progress and coming together.  It is no where near done, but I'm just going to start creating content while I work on the aesthetics of it anyway, so bare with! And without further introductions... please welcome to the blogsphere:

WHIPPIN KITCHEN

Last week I wanted to focus on creating more content for a simple print shop idea that has floated about in my head for around a year.  I was able to create a few pieces, and am excited to get more inspiration to do more.  The others revolved around health - eating simply healthy and writing up my post on my Purium experience.  So those haven't really come to fruition, but I am starting a mini Purium cleanse today for three days and plan on having it well documented this time around and hopefully that will inspire me to finish off this long overdue piece.

My Three Goals:
1| HAVE A SUCCESSFUL MINI CLEANSE
My body is definitely ready for it, my mind (which is so integral to success of these types of things), not so much.

2| BETTER GAME PLAN AFTER THE CLEANSE
I'm only doing it for three days, opposed to the original ten - but I really need a better game plan and prep for after.

3| WHIPPIN KITCHEN
Now that it is out and started I am excited to crank out some content.  I am trying to figure out my voice on the site.  I don't want it to just be a lil ramble + recipe.  I guess I'll try out a few different voices and see which one I enjoy most writing it and which ones people respond to better!

What are your goals this week? Don't forget to link up with Melyssa

  1. Way to get your cooking blog underway! I can't wait to see what kind of island stuff you are going to share. I know for a fact that Hawaiian cooking is the bomb and I want to know how to get my cooking on, island style!

  2. Ok!! I got you gggiiirrrlll!! Haha :) Have you seen my fried rice recipe or soybeans yet?? Those are popular local dishes (not traditional Hawaiian). I'll be doing both traditional Hawaiian food and local food which is more a mash up of everything else in the world!
