HAWAII EATS: Lanikai Juice

If you follow me on instagram you would know that I've been on a major smoothie kick lately.  Whether I'm creating my own at home or stopping at my favorite smoothie joint, Lanikai Juice - smoothies abound everywhere on my instagram in the morning!

Lanikai Juice is a local smoothie joint that has been around for over 15 years and their mission is to, "...create healthy, high quality natural juice products."  Not only do they adhere to and accomplish their mission, but their offerings taste amazingly delicious.  This is not your average Jamba Juice smoothie joint.  This is a step above the rest.  No ice creams or sherbets used here.   They are passionate about using the highest quality ingredients and that definitely shines through on their menu.

I usually find myself ordering from their “Meet the Greens” or “Wellness Smoothie” sections of their menu – so I’ve been wanting to try other deletectable “Old School” treats such as the Kailua Monkey (soy milk, banana, peanut butter, honey, and chocolate or vanilla protein powder) or the Almond Loco (almond milk, banana, almond butter, vanilla protein and cacao powder).

HAPPY TUMMY (DIGESTION): Coconut Water, Lemon Juice, Papaya, Pineapples, Chia Seeds, Probiotics, Mint, Coconut Oil, Ginger and Honey
 I love that their green drinks are only sweetened (if at all) with natural sweeteners such as honey and stevia – though my favorite, the Super Green, doesn’t have added sweeteners.  It keeps true to their mission and helps us, as consumers to take full advantage of our own conscious efforts to consume a healthy and balanced diet.
INFLAMMATION: Carrot Juice, Almond Milk, Ginger, Tumeric, Apple, Chia Seeds, Cinnamon and Almond Butter (+ the Antioxidant Cacao)
In addition, the wellness smoothies all pack a punch of good flavor and all serve a purpose for the body.  Whether you want a filling, antioxidant boosting shake like my favorite, Antioxidant Cacao Milkshake, or need a fall spice filled kick with the Inflammation smoothie – you just feel darn good drinking the things because YOU KNOW that they are whole and healthy for you.
